Food science group elects new president
The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) has elected David Gregory as its new president, succeeding former president Maureen Edmonson.
Gregory is chairman of food safety consultancy Acoura and has held a number of roles in the food and drink industry.
He was invested as IFST president during the organisation’s annual general meeting on March 14.
Commenting on his appointment, Gregory said: “I am delighted and honoured to be elected president of the IFST. The institute is the voice of the food profession and provides the resources for our members to develop their professional careers in this exciting industry.
“I’m looking forward to working with the committed volunteers, staff and the whole IFST membership to further develop this important organisation.”
