Japanese sweets are a ‘UK first’
Artisan manufacturer of mocha ice cream Little Moons has secured a national listing for the product through online delivery service Ocado, the first product of its kind to do so.
The dessert is traditional Japanese style rice cake made from a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, filled with Little Moons range of artisan ice creams.
Three flavours of mocha will be available to order from Ocado: coconut, mango and matcha green tea. Other flavours available include: raspberry, toasted sesame and Vanilla.
Little Moons co-founders Howard and Vivien Wong said: “We believe that this traditional Japanese delicacy can be just as popular in the UK as it is in its home country and we see our partnership with Ocado as key to achieving this.
“The growth of the brand has been driven by accelerated consumer demand for innovative and luxurious ice cream and by providing Brits with access to a trending new product that they may never have tried before.”
