Milegate: Mystry dried Pangash fish
Chemical contamination has forced the recall of Milegate’s Mystry dried Pangash fish.
Contaminant levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the product exceeded legal limits, leading to the recall as a precaution. Exposure to the chemical PAHs can cause a risk to health.
The recall was limited to 400g sized packs with a best before date of July 21 2017 and seal number B06735.
Milegate advised consumers who had bought the fish not to eat it and instead to return it to the store from which they purchased it.
