Free-from baker and internet blogger Vicky Montague – known as the Free From Fairy online – has launched a new whole grain flour that is both free from gluten and rice.
The flour is milled in the UK in a gluten and nut-free environment and provides more natural protein, fibre, calcium, vitamins and minerals than non-wholegrain alternatives, according to producer Honest Eats.
The blend is made of pure flour and not a baking mix, allowing it to be used for multiple applications.
While the flour is made with sufferers of coeliac disease in mind, more and more people now adopt a gluten-free diet for health reasons, with the free-from market now worth more than £365M in the UK.
It is only available through the Honest Eats website, at a one off introductory price of £4.99.
