Drinkmaple taps an odd idea
Drinkmaple – a brand of water “tapped” from maple trees – is set to launch in Holland & Barrett stores nationwide.
The drink was described as having a subtle taste of maple syrup and only half the sugar content of coconut water.
The nationwide launch comes as sales doubled month-on-month for the past three months, as warmer weather and a marketing campaign kicked in, according to Drinkmaple.
UK marketing manager Alicia Cooper said: “Based on what is happening with the brand in the States, where Drinkmaple is now available in mainstream grocery chains … and looks set to replicate the success of coconut water there, we very much see the drink as a supermarket brand.
“We have no doubt that it won’t be long before Drinkmaple is a household name in the UK.”
