Superfood packed flapjacks from Chia Charge have reduced sugar content and provide new flavours.
Chia Charge announced it was targetting long-distance runners, cyclists, obstacle racers and other high-energy competitors its new Berry flapjack bar
Founder Tim Taylor said: “With added sugar being such a hot topic at the moment, we felt it was the right time to offer this choice to runners and cyclists.
“Many of these athletes want to consume energy products that will fit with their healthy eating targets and contribute to a lifetime of healthy exercise – and these new bars do just that.”
40,000 flapjacks have been sold since 2012 by Chia Charge and are listed by Ocado, Sweatshop and Up and Running.
Meanwhile, German bakery Hans Freitag has released its own range of superfood biscuits in partnership with wellness magazine Fit for Fun.
