Dual-sealing of cases reduces contamination
Endoline Machinery has developed a new system that both glues and tapes filled cases, following a request from an Egyptian ingredients supplier to a global soft drinks company for extra protection from cross-product contamination during case sealing.
With additional technology to handle both single-wall and twin-walled cases to ensure a precise seal each time, the new dual sealing system offers an alternative to using separate tape and glue machines.
One particular ingredient supplied by the company is the granules used in the production of diet and low-sugar drinks for a global soft drinks company. This required better sealing to meet stringent demands of this particular customer.
Using Festo pneumatics and Allen Bradley components, Endoline brought the technologies from its existing tape and glue sealing machines together to design the new dual-sealing system.
