Susan Barratt, ceo of Natures Way Foods (NWF), has been appointed as trustee of grocery think-tank IGD.
The appointment takes effect immediately and will last until the end of 2019. IGD is a research and training charity that helps the food and grocery industry deliver public benefit.
In her role, Barratt will be part of a team responsible for providing oversight, scrutiny, governance and leadership in the fulfillment of IGD’s charitable purposes.
She joins fellow Trustees drawn from across the food and grocery industry, including Ann Bell, people director, International, Tesco and Paul Mills-Hicks, food commercial director, Sainsbury’s.
Barratt said: “I am committed to playing an active role in the governance of the charity, ensuring that it continues to fulfill its purpose and to advance its role within the industry.”
Joanne Denney-Finch, IGD chief executive, said: “She brings with her a wealth of experience from her leadership roles within finance, systems and supply chains in fast-moving consumer goods manufacturing, and the restaurants and pubs industry.”
