Lean and green manufacturing boosts Greencore

Sisson will explain to the online seminar, organised by the Food Manufacture Group, how engaging the team has proved a vital component of its lean manufacturing strategy.

“Through engagement of local site teams and the implementation of techniques to map, measure and resolve environmental impacts we have seen year on reductions to our utility usage, emissions and effluent totals.”​

Joining the Greencore boss to discuss lean and green manufacturing and evaluation processes will be Louise Nicholls, Marks & Spencer (M&S), head of responsible sourcing and packaging and Plan A and Jeremy Praud, partner Lauras International.

The M&S boss will focus on lean and green validation processes for suppliers used by the retailer and how such approaches can deliver benefits for all involved throughout the supply chain.

Each speaker will deliver a short presentation on their perspective of the business and ethical benefits of lean and green manufacturing and sourcing before taking part in a panel discussion.
