The survey of more than 1,000 people was carried out to mark 10 years in the UK market of the Spanish fruit persimon.
It found 40% of UK consumers were open to trying new flavours, and were exploring more when cooking and eating compared with previous decades. A third prided themselves on regularly trying new foods.
Additionally, more than 90% of people thought there is a wider variety of produce available now compared with just five years ago.
