Arla’s pioneering ‘Best of Both’ milk
Arla hopes its ‘Best of Both’ innovation will rewrite the rules on traditional milk.
The yellow-topped milk is fat-free and tastes as good as semi-skimmed milk, Arla claimed.
The dairy co-operative has spent three years developing the technology, which involves collecting some of the naturally occurring protein in milk and adding more of it back into skimmed milk.
Arla Foods UK’s vice president of marketing Sarah Baldwin said it was genuinely pioneering and one of the biggest innovations Arla has created in the milk category.
“Our innovation strategy is to develop great tasting and healthier products, whilst investing to help drive consumer understanding of dairy which we feel is part of our responsibility,” she said.
“With organisations like Public Health England encouraging people to consider drinking lower fat milks, we believe Arla ‘Best of Both’ will be a popular choice for many consumers.”
