Swizzels scares the nation with giant spider
To celebrate Halloween, sweet firm Swizzels created a giant spider made of 2,000 of its sweets and wrappers.
Swizzels chose the creepy crawly after a poll revealed spiders were the UK’s top fear, with one in four people scared of them.
Manchester mosaic artist Mark Kennedy used Swizzels’ Drumstick Lollies, Love Hearts, Refreshers, Fruity Pops and Double Lollies to create the spider artwork.
Swizzels marketing manager Sarah-Louise Heslop said Halloween was a good time for sweets and being scared.
“We wanted to bring both elements together in a fun way to celebrate Halloween,” she said. “Our spooky spider artwork looks fantastic – and hopefully doesn’t scare people too much!”
