Food firms get into Halloween spirit
Premier Foods, United Biscuits and Tangerine Confectionery are just three of a number of businesses that have launched ghoulish product innovations to celebrate Halloween on Saturday October 31.
The Halloween market was worth almost £100M to confectionery manufacturers in 2014, Tangerine Confectionery claimed.
Three quarters of adults admitted they would be dressing up this Halloween and 59% said they would go trick or treating with their children to celebrate, according to sweets manufacturer Swizzels.

Halloween, also known as All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Eve, is an annual celebration on the eve of the western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day.
All Hallows’ Day is the time of the year dedicated to remembering the dead.
The idea of trick-or-treating was taken from an ancient Celtic tradition which involved leaving out food for the hostile spirits who roamed the streets at Samhain.
Samhain is the celebration of the end of the harvest and start of the coldest half of the year. It is also known as the festival of the dead.
