BCMPA aimed to make finding a contractor easier
Food and drink brand owners looking for a contractor to manufacture or package products will have a much easier life, after the increased functionality added to the British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association’s (BCMPA’s) website.

Following a makeover to the BCMPA website at, users are able to refine their searches to meet their particular production requirements, thanks to an enhanced search facility.

Whether users are looking for a contractor to blend and pack soup into tubs or to bottle drinks, help could now be at hand.

The BCMPA has over 130 members, many of whom are involved in the manufacture and packing of food and drink products.

The new website enables users to search by sector, process, packaging format or accreditation, with a series of drop-down menus to refine searches.

Warehousing and logistics

Many BCMPA members also offer the capability of pack design, print and label production, fulfilment, warehousing and logistics.

Once a shortlist of companies that meet the users’ key requirements has been created, a click to each member’s profile page provides a summary of their services, full contact details and a link to their website.

Another feature on the website is the ‘send an enquiry’ online form, where users can have the details of their project circulated by the BCMPA to its membership.

This is a free service and those members with the appropriate facilities will respond to the inquirer directly, according to the BCMPA.

Alternatively, if the user wished to keep their name confidential, the BCMPA could circulate the project details on behalf of the company and any interested members would register their interest directly via the BCMPA.
