Natural colouring meets rising demand

Sunflower, red radish and purple carrot are among the new colours in the range and can help manufacturers achieve various hues, it says.
“Manufacturers can quickly and easily recognise which concentrates from the range are suitable for their beverages and create the most harmonious colours,” according to Wild.
‘Visually striking’
“The new nuances of these colouring foodstuffs are not only visually striking, they also have an 'inner beauty', which is equally compelling,” it adds.
Wild, which is a subsidiary of the ingredients firm Archer Daniels Midlands Company, has been developing its range of naturally-derived colouring foods over the past five years, it adds.
The new range includes: Lemon, Apricot, Mango, Red Currant, Strawberry, Forest Berry and Blueberry, which are all available for use now, it says.
