What about old people?

Posted by Dave Peters,

How about charging old people more too - they generally need more help than the rest of us and the condition is easily avoidable?

Think a bit more deeply

Posted by Victor Goodridge,

The idea of the obese paying for NHS treatment is poorly thought out for a number of reasons:
1. Why single out one "abuse"? What about excessive alcohol intake, abuse of drugs, self harming, driving in any way which may be deemed to cause an accident, etc
2. Until food manufacturers and retailers start putting as much effort into removing unhealthy items from their product lists and encouraging healthy living as they have done to putting them there and encouraging unhealthy living, perhaps it is they who should pay.
3. Who says the "experts" have it right about obesity? There is an awful lot of untruth put out by self-styled experts (including the medical profession). Perhaps this includes Strategy Experts?
One could go on, but enough is enough.

Extreme ignorance

Posted by David Roberts,

What a load of bull****, if this man is a vice president of business strategy lord help us, on the other hand given the almost 1 in 2 in favour of his views, perhaps he deserves a bonus for reflecting the moronic self centred outlook of people in this country.
