lavour specialist Treatt has launched a new beverage applications centre at its Bury St Edmunds headquarters, following increased demand from drinks firms for new flavour combinations.

The new facility, which will include a sensory brewing centre, was built for an undisclosed sum and will also allow the firm to take on more staff, it said.

Businesses will be able to recreate specific beer types and develop flavour solutions for a range of beer applications in the brewing centre, Treatt said.

New facility

The purpose-built facility provides a completely neutral environment in which odour, temperature and lighting is maintained at a constant level to ensure ‘reproducibility’, it said.

Daemmon Reeve, group chief executive, said: “Our increased capacity to create demonstration beverages enables our customer success teams to readily demonstrate the ‘wow’ factor in our ingredient solutions.”
