Triple whammy of allergen risks for Sainsbury
A possible health risk for soya, fish or barley allergy suffers was the reason Sainsbury had to withdraw its ‘Thai Takeaway for 2’.
None of the potentially dangerous ingredients were mentioned on the label of its 1.1kg packs – all dates were affected.
Sainsbury said in its product recall notification: “It has been brought to our attention that the vegetable spring rolls within the above pack may cause an allergen risk which is not declared on the packaging.
“As a precautionary measure, we are asking all customers who have purchased this product between the dates shown above to return the product to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.”
