FoodEx Big Video Debates
The Food Manufacture Group held four Big Video Debates to address the dangers, opportunities and challenges facing the food and drink industry and the solutions to these at the Foodex 2014 trade event – organised by William Reed Business Media – in March at the National Exhibition Centre.
Guests at the UK’s premier trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging and logistics industries were treated to debates on filling the yawning skills gap; lean and green manufacturing; social media and the consequences of the horsemeat crisis.
Taking part in the debates were the Food Standards Agency, British Retail Consortium, our sister title Meat Trades Journal, Forum for the Future, The National Skills Academy for Food and Drink, Institute of Food Science & Technology, British Automation and Robot Association, SA Partners, Wyke Farms, Mash Direct and National Farmers Union.

We also caught up with former government minister and broadcaster Michael Portillo to hear his warnings about a likely war on sugar.
