Food and drink manufacturers can pick the brains of experts to get free, detailed advice about how to save their energy bills at a webinar set to go live at 11am this morning (September 18).

Logging in to the Food Manufacture Group’s event, Energy savings opportunity scheme: switching on to savings​, which lasts for just one hour, is quick and easy.

Delegates can tune in free of charge wherever they can get access to a computer terminal – and by participating live they have the opportunity to put their own questions to the speakers.

Richard Clothier, md of cheese maker Wyke Farms will be sharing practical ideas on energy saving, together with the benefits, gleaned directly from his personal experience.

Participants can also hear advice from Stephen Reeson, head of climate change and policy at the Food and Drink Federation will share his industry insights.

Jes Rutter, md of energy efficiency specialists JRP Solutions, which has worked closely with food and drink firms to save them cash, will be offering his advice.

And Martin Adams, from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, will be on hand to provide the government’s perspective on how best to comply with the law.
