Hunt will take on the role of head of strategy at the London-based agency.
His initial responsibility will be to advise on strategic brand positioning, consumer insight and marketing practice.
He has spent the past three years leading all marketing activity for Hovis, as well as four years working firstly across Bisto, Oxo and then Mr Kipling and Cadbury Cakes for Premier Foods.
Before this, he spent seven years with drinks giant Diageo, working on Baileys, Pimms, Archers and Captain Morgans rums.
‘Cement its credentials’
Lizzie Penny, founder and general manager of Futureproof said his experience would help to cement its credentials in the food and drink industry.

Premier Foods launched a £87.5M joint venture with US-based Gores Group to run its Hovis flour and bread business in January.
The deal received mixed reaction from City analysts.
