Unilever appoints new chairman
Unilever promoted Graeme Pitkethly to chairman for its UK & Ireland business, replacing Amanda Sourry, who is also moving roles within the company.
Pitkethly, who is currently senior vice president for finance of Unilever’s global markets, will take on the role at the start of July to allow Sourry to become executive vice president of the firm’s global hair category.
Pitkethly said: “It’s a hugely exciting time for me to take the helm and I look forward to working with our outstanding Unilever UK & Ireland team to drive sustainable, brand-led growth in the marketplace through strong customer partnerships.”
Meanwhile the firm also appointed current vice president of UK customer development James Simmons as md of Unilever Greater Caribbean.
