Snack salad and vegetable manufacturer Freshtime UK has appointed Bryan Nelson as its new national account manager.

Nelson will bring over two decades of experience to the role, gained in development roles at salmon producer Pinneys of Scotland, Fisher Foods, and Geest.

He has also been commercial manager at Young’s Seafood and new business manager at 2 Sisters Food Group.

Nelson said he was looking forward to being part of the firm’s business expansion.

‘Ready to take off’

“Our md Mark Newton was a huge influence on my decision to come here,” he said. “I knew the company before I joined; Mark has told me about his plans for the future and it’s ready to take off.”

The firm said Nelson’s appointment was the latest piece of the jigsaw being put together since Newton took the reins of the business in October 2013.

Newton said: “We are in the process of building a very strong team of experienced people who together will take Freshtime to the next level.

“Nelson has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the food industry and will be a real asset to the company.”
