Bakery ingredients company Renshaw has developed a new range of coloured compound coating products for cakes that are inspired by US trends.

The new products, ‘Renshaw Colour Melts’, will sit within the non-block cake coverings fixture and have been designed to capitalise on increasing appetite in the category area.

Renshaw states that its Colour Melts have been formulated to melt more easily in order to give a cake a strong and stable colour. Available in seven hues – yellow, green, blue, red, pink, black and white – the vibrant shades are formulated to be highly versatile in application for both dipping and moulding cake products.

Mark Bosworth, Renshaw md, said of the new product development: “We keep a keen eye on the trends emerging in the States and are confident that Colour Melts will perform well with our UK customers.”
