Interrol to show drive systems at Foodex

Integrated drive systems such as drum motors for belt conveyors, DC-powered and non-powered rollers and the latest controls for unit-handling conveyors, will be demonstrated by Interroll at this year’s Foodex.

A new synchronous drum motor has been developed specifically for the food processing sector. The energy-efficient motor features a hygienic design in accordance with the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group. It has, as standard, IP66 and IP69K sealing systems, so it suits wet and high-pressure washdowns. This belt drive is said to offer excellent torque at all speeds, maximum acceleration/braking performance and excellent start-stop potential that works with a range of applications.

Also on display will be the 24V DC Interroll RollerDrive EC310. This is designed to offer a safe solution to support hygienic drive in custom-built processing/packaging machinery and versatile conveyors, using up to 30% less energy, plus it recycles brake energy.
