Energy experts at Drives and Controls 2014

Gambica, the UK trade body for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology, will host a pavilion at the Drives & Controls Exhibition, at the NEC in Birmingham, from April 8-10. Gambica’s deputy director Steve Brambley will give seminars on how intelligent control can reduce energy use.

Gambica member Fairford Electronics will exhibit its intelligent energy saving motor controller, Synergy. “We will have a live unit with us and visitors will be able to test it and see just how compact, powerful and easy to use it is,” says Stephen Royle, the company’s sales and marketing director.

Danfoss will discuss its VLT high power drives and low harmonic versions of the VLT Automation, heating, ventilating and air conditioning and Aqua drives. The products reduce harmonic distortion in the power supply, improving power quality by regulating the network to the load conditions. The VLT Advanced Active Filter is designed to complement the VLT series of low harmonic drives: a flexible solution for standalone or group harmonic mitigation.
