Professor Jeni Colbourne
Professor Jeni Colbourne is recognised for her expertise of safe water and the water industry which has been sought by UK and overseas governments, including chairing the UK Committee of the International Water Association.
She is currently the chief inspector for the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI).
The DWI works with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to ensure that water companies in England and Wales supply safe drinking water that is acceptable to consumers and meets the standards set down in law.
Colbourne is also a chartered biologist, and a fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a member of the Society of Biology.
She was recognised under the monitor/ regulator category on the top 100 practising scientists list.
