Student creates 12-course meal in a can
A Kingston University student manufactured a 12-course gourmet meal in a can, in August.
Graphic design student, Chris Godfrey cooked and reduced down to liquid form all 12 dishes, which included Kobe beef, belly pork, rib eye steak and ricotta ravioli, either by boiling or blending and adding water and gelatine.
He then poured each course into a can, waiting for each layer to set before adding the next.

However, don’t expect to see the product on supermarket shelves anytime soon, as Godfrey admitted no one wanted to taste his concoction.
“All my housemates declined the offer and I didn’t fancy it myself. Although the ingredients sound luxurious, it didn’t look very appealing,” he added.
Godfrey said he had been inspired to put a meal in a can by Andy Warhol’s take on consumerism.
