Consumer Goods Forum appoints new boss
The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) appointed industry veteran Peter Freedman as its new md this month.
Freedman, who will start the role on January 6, 2014, has almost 30 years' experience in the consumer industry, gained at management and consultancy firm the McKinsey & Company.
He also holds a number of non-executive roles, including food redistribution charity FareShare and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
The CGF co-chairs, Nestlé ceo Paul Bulcke and Royal Ahold ceo Dick Boer agreed they were confident he was the right leader to propel CGF forward.
