2 Sisters opens £1M microbiology lab
2 Sisters opened its £1M microbiology lab in Bio City, Nottingham, to help it keep on top of the threats posed by pathogens, last September.
Speaking at the opening of the foodborne germ detection lab, the firm’s boss Ranjit Boparan, said the “world-class facility” would help to “reduce and eradicate campylobacter”.
The firm’s technical director Neil Khadke told FoodManufacture.co.uk that the lab would help to develop the future supply of food technologists that the UK desperately needed.

The lab will employ 60 people and can conduct 16,000 tests a week.
