Eaton leaves to give way to ‘flatter management structure’
There was another change at the top for Premier Foods when chief operating officer Geoff Eaton left the company after just four months.
Eaton stood down on the same day as new ceo Gavin Darby took over. Premier Foods said it wanted to introduce a flatter management structure, which did not include the role of chief operating officer, to enable commercial and functional management to report directly to the ceo.
“It has therefore been agreed with Geoff Eaton, current chief operating officer, that he will step down,” the company added.
