Technology aims to cut effluent and energy costs

The firm has launched an outsourced AD service that includes the design, installation and operation of AD renewable energy facilities.
Energ-G will finance the project and recover the investment by sharing savings with the customers it works with. Customers will receive 20–50% of the annual savings, says Energ-G.
The AD process generates renewable energy from the organic by-products of production. Biogas created fuels a combined heat and power engine to create renewable heat and electricity. This reduces energy costs and carbon footprint.
It can also cut the chemical oxygen demand content of effluent, cutting effluent costs and offering potential for water recycling once solids are removed.
