Meat firm appoints boss after demand surge Meat
Yorkshire Dales Meat Company appointed Jennifer Carling as its new sales executive in a bid to help boost output in response to supermarket demand this month.
Carling’s initial role will be to form “mutually beneficial” relationships with supermarkets looking to list more British farm produce.
“There’s definitely a growing willingness among supermarkets to source meat from more local, quality sources, and Yorkshire Dales Meat Company can certainly meet this trend, as it has proved with ASDA,” she said.
Carling will bring over 30 years’ experience in the food sector to the role, gained at businesses including McCain Foods and jam and preserves business The Mercers of Yorkshire.
