Somerset-based cheese manufacturer Godminster has appointed Peter Andrew as its new ceo.

Andrew joins the organic cheese maker during a period of significant growth in sales. Over the last three months the sale of its organic brie alone has increased by 184%.

Andrew will focus on creating an international brand that retains the firm’s core values and developing the brand beyond its ranges of cheese.

‘Range beyond cheese’

“I am now looking at creating a dairy range beyond cheese, which complements our existing products such as the infused vodkas, chutneys and biscuits.  However, I believe the key to our success will be developing our understanding of our core customer base and, of course, ensuring we continue to provide great tasting artisan cheese.”

Godminster’s range of products includes organic waxed cheddar, oak-smoked vintage organic cheddar, organic brie and vodkas, chutneys and biscuits.
