Lightweight yet robust solution for mince
Until now, Linpac tray and films have not proved competitive in terms of cost or weight compared with standard inline form, fill, seal pack designs for mince.
However, for the past two years, Linpac has partnered with several machinery manufacturers, packers and retailers to develop packs that significantly reduce the overall weight of some of its trays, and down-gauge its Lintop lidding films, while ensuring they retain product performance and quality.
Project Life (Lightweighting For Excellence) has led to such big reductions in material use that the company's rigid recycled polyethylene terephthalate and Lintop films combination now offers an alternative to packers using the standard form, fill, seal technology in terms of overall running cost and design flexibility.
