Former Diageo boss appointed to United Spirits board
United Spirits appointed former Diageo boss Paul Walsh to its board this month.
Walsh, who continues to work as consultant for Diageo, joins the Indian spirits company as an additional director
Diageo is the major shareholder in United Spirits, with a shareholding of 25.02%.
In June it was also announced that Walsh will take up the role of chairman at foodservice company the Compass Group on January 1 2014. He stood down as chief executive of Diageo after 13 years in May.
Meanwhile, Diageo appointed global energy company Shell’s chairman Vikram Singh Mehta as an independent director.
