Campden BRI strengthens brewing and malting team
Food and drink research company Campden BRI strengthened its brewing and malting team this month with the appointment of Ed Wray.
Wray joined Campden BRI as its new project brewer and maltster and will manage the company’s pilot malting and brewing unit at its Nutfield site in Surrey.
He joined from Kent microbrewery the Old Dairy Brewery, where he had been head brewer since 2009. Before this he spent 14 years as head of microbiology at Greendale Laboratories.
Head of brewing at Campden BRI Gordon Jackson said: “Ed’s knowledge and practical industrial expertise will be invaluable both when running the pilot malting and brewery and supporting our clients all around the world.”
He added that Wray would take the lead in helping clients with new product and process development projects that require pilot scale malting and brewing.
