Seafish makes new appointments to ensure delivery of corporate plan
Industry support body Seafish appointed Tom Pickerell as its new technical director to ensure it delivered the key objectives outlined in its corporate plan.
Announced last May, the corporate plan outlined Seafish’s commitment of over £11.4M to industry projects and initiatives over the next two and a half years.
Other objectives included securing a sustainable and profitable future for the industry, improving safety, responsibility and sourcing, and delivering support across each region of the UK.
Pickerell joins from Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, where he had been senior scientist since 2011.
He has also held roles with the Shellfish Association of Great Britain, WWF and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Seafish also announced the appointment of Rob Bruce as its new corporate relations manager.
