Flavour firm chairman to retire
Vernon Sankey retired as chairman of Swiss flavour firm Firmenich this month and was replaced by Yves Boisdron.
Sankey had been with the firm for seven years, during which Firmenich said he had made a significant contribution.
“His chairmanship began during the world’s worst economic and financial crisis since the 1930s,” Firmenich said in a statement. “Despite the economic slowdown, he ensured the resiliency of Firmenich by advocating excellence in execution and tight cost control while maintaining strategic investments into innovation.”
