Departure of 2 Sisters chilled boss sparks fears
The future of 2 Sisters chilled foods division was put in doubt in June when the manufacturer announced the departure of the division’s boss Kuldip Kular.
Kular will leave the firm on January 31 2014 after 15 years to spend more time with his family.
Ranjit Boparan, ceo of 2 Sisters, acknowledged the positive contribution to the business Kular had made since it acquired Northern Foods – which Kular was a senior executive of – in April 2011.
“Kuldip has been instrumental in building the group’s reputation for high quality food in both the ready meals and ‘food to go’ categories and as a key member of my leadership team, he has made an invaluable contribution in helping to drive the group’s sharp focus on our customers and on growth.”
Current commercial director of frozen Simon Wookey has been promoted to succeed Kular with immediate effect.
