Maggi is the world’s top food brand: Kantar
Nestlé’s Maggi range was identified as the number one global food brand by Kantar Worldpanel this May.
The Maggi range of instant soups, stocks, sauces, taste enhancers and noodles topped the ranking of the most chosen global fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands.
Kantar tracked shoppers’ habits across 32 countries to produce the first global ranking of FMCG brands using a new metric called Consumer Reach Points.
Maggi’s highest growth was in Asia, aided by the success of its instant noodles in India, according to Kantar.
Unilever’s Knorr brand came second, PepsiCo’s Lay’s brand was third, Mondelēz’s Oreo and Spanish bakery brand Bimbo were fourth and fifth respectively.
