Tate & Lyle opens technical servie in Mexico
Tate & Lyle has officially opened its technical service centre in Mexico City.

The firm says the facility will provide application development, rapid prototyping and complete formulation to help food and beverage customers' transition more quickly from product conception to market.

'New opportunities'

Oreste Fieschi, general manager for Latin America, said: "Our new facility enhances new opportunities for our applications and technical service experts to provide food and beverage expertise, while collaborating with customers to develop differentiated and reliable solutions to their challenges."

Staff at the new site have been challenged to provide versatile application of Tate & Lyle's ingredients that support new product development and line extensions in beverage, bakery and confectionery, convenience, dairy and snack categories.

The new technical service centre applies the latest technology available for sweeteners, wellness ingredients and texturants, including a multi-functional and scale-up high performance colloid mill, a pilot-scale convection oven, plus a high precision texture analyser to test the applications.
