Tesco’s appoints Blinkbox founder to ‘shape multichannel strategy’
Tesco promoted Blinkbox founder Michael Comish to group digital officer this month in a bid to “shape a multichannel strategy” and develop a more “customer-led approach” to online services.
Comish’s Blinkbox company, that offers the latest movies and TV shows instantly without subscription on games consoles, tablets, Smart TVs, Blu-ray players, set top boxes and PCs/Macs, was acquired by Tesco in May 2011.
He will oversee operations in a new 30,000m2 digital campus in central London opening in the autumn to house Tesco’s digital entertainment services spanning movies and TV, music, books and the recently launched Clubcard TV.
