Linpac to launch new chilled food packaging range

Linpac plans to take advantage of the growing popularity and demand for chilled retail prepared and convenience foods by making a new range of packaging products for the sector.

The company's Freshware range are the first products out of its new Freshform division, which moves it into the chilled retail convenience sector. It will complement existing activities in the meat, fish and poultry, bakery, fresh produce and foodservice sectors.

Products available comprise packaging for prepared fruit and salads, dips, sandwich fillers, fresh pasta, pizza, prepared vegetables (such as stir-fry), chilled bakery, cooked meats and prepared fish.

A series of product launches are planned during the coming year, including interlocking containers in various sizes, which enable consumers to pick and mix different food items to create their own meal.

Sealant technology developed for the company's latest innovation, Rfresh Elite a tray for fresh meat and poultry will also be incorporated into some new Freshware products.
