Dirk Kloosterboer has been appointed chief executive and chairman of Vion Food Group following the departure of Uwe Tillmann at the Dutch-owned meat processor.
Kloosterboer has been vice-chairman of the executive board since January 1 2010. He will now take charge of a business-wide restructuring which includes the planned closure of its Hall’s site at Broxburn, West Lothian.
A statement on the firm’s website said:“The supervisory board has every confidence that this adjustment to the management will ensure the successful implementation of Vion’s strategic vision.”
