In response to the growing popularity of Caribbean-style food, Cleone Foods has developed a new ‘Jerk Chicken’ patty.

The firm has been making Jamaican-style recipes for 20 years and makes more than 100,000 patties and slices a week.

"We are always looking to extend our products to meet demand and Jerk Chicken has become very popular not just with people from a Jamaican background but with people of all ethnicities who want to try something different," said Wade Lyn, founder of Cleone Foods.

The firm has added the recipe to its 'Island Delight' range and it is available as a traditional pattie and as bite-size cocktails.

The Jerk Chicken patties and cocktails can be bought frozen or chilled and are made from chicken pieces marinated in the flavours of a traditional Jamaican Jerk recipe of spices, onions and peppers.

"We feel sure that our Jerk Chicken cocktails will make an ideal change for parties and social events this Christmas," says Lyn.
