Fresh fruit and vegetable wholesaler Interfruit has moved into a new 1,600m2 refrigerated food processing plant at Witton.

The site is just over three miles away from the Birmingham Wholesale Market, within easy reach of the West Midlands motorway network.

The purpose-built facility constructed by Burnett Barrows Refrigeration, in conjunction with Staffordshire Thermal Construction Engineers has nine refrigerated rooms, ranging from 93m3 to 1,575m3, operating at temperatures from 4°C to 8°C.

Also included in the new facility is Interfruit's sister company, Fishco, which operates at temperatures from -2°C to 8°C.

Interfruit and Fishco supply a range of customers on a daily basis, from restaurants, retail and convenience sectors, the hospitality sector and educational and care establishments predominantly within the West Midlands area.

This is the third food processing plant that Burnett Barrows Refrigeration has completed in the last three years in the West Midlands for food processors.
