Savoury ingredients firm Synergy has launched a range of clean-label dairy ingredients for value-added savoury dishes. The range aims to help firms stabilise costs in a fluctuating dairy ingredient market while satisfying consumer demand for more 'natural' foods.
Synergy's Dairy Ingredients include mouthfeel enhancers. These employ the inherent properties of dairy ingredients, such as whey butter and protein, to build flavour and mouthfeel when fat is reduced.
Premium cheese pastes reduce salt and can be incorporated into processed cheese, ready meals, sauces, savoury pastries, seasonings and soups.
Claire Robertson, group development manager at Synergy, says: "Our dairy ingredients help manufacturers create great tasting, reduced-fat products with natural ingredients, without additional costs or artificial additives.
