The 2007 Food Manufacture Excellence Awards showcase the best firms and people in the sector in the past year.
The awards, now in their seventh year, will be developed further, with the introduction of new categories: Fresh Produce, Small Company of the Year and Personality of the Year award - launched to recognise the person who has contributed most to raising food and drink manufacturers' profile.
The other categories are Ambient and General Groceries, Bakery and Confectionery, Beverages; Chilled Ready Meals and Prepared Foods, Dairy, Frozen Foods; Meat and Poultry and Seafood. Category winners also compete for Food Manufacture Company of the Year. The firm that has contributed most significantly in one area will also win the Judges' Special award. The Food Manufacture Skills Excellence Awards, organised in conjunction with Food and Drink Sector Skills Council Improve, recognise human resources management. The categories are: Productivity Through Skills, Diversity in Recruitment and Apprenticeships.

Entry deadline for the main awards is June 29. Winners will receive their awards at a glittering celebration at The Marriott, Grosvenor Square, London, on November 7.
