Yoghurt maker Müller has invested in a Rose Forgrove high-speed Integra flow wrapper capable of 80 wraps a minute to help reduce labour costs while maintaining output. Over the past five years demand for Müller's products from its Market Drayton plant has grown from 60M to 400M pots a year.
The Integra joins Müller's existing stock of four Rose Forgrove Merlin and one Minerva flow wrappers. The Integra accommodates a wide range of product sizes and is flexible enough to handle future products.
Further cost savings from reduced service calls and production downtime have been made by using a modem link to Rose Forgrove's Nottingham factory to enable software programs to be debugged remotely. The Integra has also improved quality: its jaw motion traps far less air inside the bag.
